Across Kent has been created by magazine & paper industry experienced people, who between them have almost 15 years to draw on and who are passionate on creating a publication that is interesting and will become recognised as one of Kent’s preferred reference papers. Furthermore given the growing trends in the market on how the consumers are moving more to internet publications, Across Kent decided to bring the future to today.
Its creation stems from a large survey that was conducted during the early part of 2009 which was centred on the changing reading habits of the general public of Kent and the UK. A fast growing opinion, when it came to free publications, was that people prefer to read a paper or magazine On-line. The main reasons were, a) it was easy to access, b) free and c) environmentally friendly so no wastage of paper.
After further research it was quickly realised that there was a gap in the market for a well presented and easy to read publication that offers reasonable advertising rates, given the exposure businesses and services would gain, whilst at the same time giving the readers a paper that allows them to read features and articles to feed their interests, and contained items for individual participation such as Crosswords, Sudoku etc.
In development Across Kent have several websites which will be fantastic advertising opportunities for businesses and services in Kent and at the same time advantageous for the readers to find specific items such as property, vehicles, food outlets and auction off any unwanted items they have or for companies to prospect for a wider customer base.
